Workshop productions allow students to work on new material that they might otherwise not ever get a chance to perform (lesser known musicals, new musicals or smaller cast shows) or help develop cut down versions of well known musicals, giving the new version of the shows a development site to test script content with young actors.
The final presentation is a staged workshop production of this show in an Off-Broadway theatre, utilizing minimal sets, costumes & props. The final presentation will be for family, friends, the original show creators and executives at the licensing company.
Workshop productions are tuition based with a few need based scholarships available.
We are currently considering a few projects to produce as a workshop production.
Broadway Workshop’s Onstage Programs are operated under PROJECT BROADWAY, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Project Broadway provides scholarship opportunities and helps cover some costs associated with producing a full scale musical in New York City.
