CAMP Florida – Ages 9-17

Broadway Workshop is thrilled to bring our ON TOUR program to TAMPA for summer 2019!

Learn from Broadway Workshop’s acclaimed staff from New York City,  who have worked on Broadway and at theaters across the country. For 2019 this camp will take place from MONDAY JUNE 17-FRIDAY JUNE 21 at The Academy of the Holy Names in Tampa FL and is open to students ages 9-17.

Broadway Workshop’s  ON TOUR program is an authentic, theatrical experience for young performers, directly from NYC. The camp offers an exciting immersion into the extraordinary world of musical theatre while developing skills as a “triple threat” in acting, singing and dance. There is no program quite like this theatre experience. Classes are taught by seasoned professionals from Broadway, film, and TV, who create a challenging yet supportive learning environment for campers to expand their artistic talents, push past their creative comfort zones and succeed at amazing themselves!

In CAMP FL students are separated by age into two groups. Campers will take center stage performing in two different hit Broadway musicals medleys. These medleys are specifically arranged for the ON TOUR Camp program.  Every camper will get to step in the spotlight and be featured with lines and solos. In between rehearsals, campers will participate in theatrical workshops taught by our Broadway guest teaching staff.

Special Workshops Include: Acting/Scene Work, Improvisation, Stage combat, Broadway Dance/Movement, Acting for Film and Television and more!

Guest teachers for 2019 Camp FL will be announced soon. Some of our past ON TOUR Broadway guest teaching artists include: Clay Thompson (King Kong, Matilda, Newsies), Leslie Rochette (Jersey Boys),  Tommy Brocco (Newsies, Pretty Woman) Casey Lee Thompson (Legally Blonde), David Rossetti (Annie), Tim Young (Next to Normal),  This program will be directed by Broadway Workshop’s Marc Tumminelli.
