We are so thrilled to bring major LA casting director, HOWARD MELTZER back to Broadway Workshop for a special Holiday Break class!
Join us for this amazing opportunity to work with LA Casting Director, HOWARD MELTZER, one of the leading Youth Casting Directors, with projects for DISNEY CHANNEL, NICKELODEON, DISNEY XD and more! His projects include: “Best Friends Whenever”, “Bunk’d”, “Lab Rats: Elite Force”, “Girl Meets World”, “The Wizards Return”, “Shake it Up” and “Hannah Montana”. Students will work on scenes from Howard Meltzer’s projects as well as have the opportunity to sing an audition cut in this workshop!
Mr. Meltzer has decades of experience, specializing in youth programming and entertainment, from commercials to television to feature films. In this special event workshop Howard will share his incredible knowledge of the industry and help young actors put their best foot forward in the auditions and on camera performances.
Each student will have the opportunity to work one on one with Mr. Meltzer on scenes and sides from his past TV & Film projects! Students will receive feedback and coaching to help bring their performances to the next level. Students will also perform one musical theatre or pop song for Mr. Meltzer and Broadway Workshop director – MARC TUMMINELLI and receive feedback on their musical audition.
This workshop will end with a Q&A where both parents and students can come together to ask questions and get more information about the casting process and what they can do to help guide their child’s career.
Howard is always working on casting new pilots for major youth networks and he is not only an amazing teacher but a great person to get in front of!

Howard Meltzer, has been casting television in Los Angeles since 2002. He has been responsible for, and collaborated on, numerous series, pilots and made-for-television movies. For Disney Channel, his work includes the series Bunk’d, Best Friends Whenever, Lab Rats, Wizards of Waverly Place: Reunion Special, Alex vs. Alex, Shake It Up,Hannah Montana and I’m in the Band, the pilots Mech-X4, Girl Meets World, and the television movies Evermoor andDen Brother.
His Nickelodeon credits include the pilots Life With Boys, Big Time Rush, The Troop and The Fresh Beat Band and the television movies Spectacular! and The Best Player. His feature films include Lonely Boy and the Los Angeles casting for The Impossible.
Meltzer began his career in New York as a staff casting director at Stuart Howard Associates, where he worked on the casting for the Broadway productions of The Graduate, Fortune’s Fool, Gore Vidal’s The Best Man (2000 revival), Elaine May’s Taller Than a Dwarf, Honour, Epic Proportions, Annie Get Your Gun(2001 revival), Fosse, Chicago (1996 revival), Annie (1997 revival) and Grease (1998 revival). Meltzer has been nominated for 20 Artios Awards for excellence in casting and received the honor three times.
