Jessie Mueller most recently starred in the 2018 revival of Carousel on Broadway, and the year before she originated the role of Jenna in Waitress on Broadway. She won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for playing Carole King in the bio-musical Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. Her other Broadway credits include: The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Nice Work If You Can Get It, and On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (TONY Nomination). Miss Mueller will be back on Broadway this spring as Jenna Hunterson in the musical adaptation of the 2007 film Waitress, written by Sara Bareilles and directed by Diane Paulus.
