Broadway Workshop director, Marc Tumminelli and Casting Director, Patrick Goodwin (CSA) are teaming up for this very special two session virtual workshop.

Session 1: Tuesday February 8, 2022
Session 2: Tuesday, February 15, 2022

In Session 1, Broadway Workshop director and Disney Acting coach, Marc Tumminelli will work with students on their song choices and figure out what will best showcase their unique talents as well as explore musical cuts that will work best for them. Through their class work, students will find ways to gain a deeper connection to their material and leave lasting impressions with our special casting guest.

In Session 2, we will be joined by casting director, Patrick Goodwin. Students will perform their rehearsed cuts for our industry guests and receive feedback on their work. Following the students performances, Patrick and Marc will be part of an interactive Q&A and discussion about the business, best practices for online and live auditions, and helpful resources to help our students move forward.

Patrick Goodwin, CSA

Pat began his career in casting in 2006 after graduating from Drew University with a double major in Theatre Arts and Political Science. He has cast many film, television and theatre projects over his 16 years in the industry. Recent Broadway casting credits include Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Waitress, The Cher Show, SpongeBob Squarepants, Kinky Boots, Finding Neverland, Chaplin and Annie. Recent film & TV credits include Annie Live on NBC, The Greatest Showman and Sex and the City 1 & 2. Upcoming projects include the film Better Nate Than Ever and the musical stage adaptations of The Notebook at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Trading Places at The Alliance Theatre and the original musical The Wanderer at Paper Mill Playhouse. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for Excellence in Casting for the NBC television production of Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert and has won several Artios Awards for Excellence in Casting. Pat is a proud member of the Casting Society of America, The Television Academy and Teamsters Local 817.

Marc Tumminelli

Most recently Marc served as the Dialogue/Acting Coach for the Disney film, BETTER NATE THAN EVER, directed by Tim Federle and starring Lisa Kudrow, Rueby Wood, Aria Brooks, Norbert Leo Butz and Joshua Bassett. Marc is considered one of the top acting coaches in New York. Over 60 of his students have appeared on Broadway in shows including: Dear Evan Hansen, Mrs. Doubtfire, West Side Story, The Cher Show, Beetlejuice, School of Rock, Anastasia, Fun Home, Annie, Matilda, Kinky Boots, Newsies, Mary Poppins, Fish in the Dark and Billy Elliot. Marc adapted the book, music & lyrics as well as directed the developmental workshop productions of the school editions of Zombie Prom for the Samuel French Inc. Flight of the Lawnchair Man, Curtains, All Shook Up, Spamalot, The Addams Family, Wind in the Willows and We Will Rock You for Theatrical Rights World Wide and EMMA! and Head Over Heels for Broadway Licensing/PlayScripts. He is the show creator, writer and director of MY TOWN: The new George M Cohen musical for Inside Broadway. Marc is the host of LITTLE ME: Growing Up Broadway for the Broadway Podcast Network.
