This special one-day workshop experience will begin with a BEETLEJUICE Song & Dance Workshop, lead by Beetlejuice Dance Captain BROOKE ENGEN, who will give our students a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to rehearse for the newest hit musical currently playing on Broadway.
Following the BEETLEJUICE workshop, our students will participate in a Q&A with Broadway leading lady, JESSICA VOSK, who most recently completed a year-long run starring as Elphaba, in WICKED on Broadway and has appeared in the Broadway companies of Finding Neverland, Fiddler on the Roof and Bridges of Madison County.
Finally, students will have the opportunity to sing a song of their choice for one of the stars of MEAN GIRLS on Broadway, Tony Award Nominee GREY HENSON (Damian). Grey, along with Broadway Workshop director MARC TUMMINELLI, will lead students in exercises to help bring their song material and audition/performance skills to the next level.
Students will need sheet music for one (1) musical theatre or pop/rock song in the correct key for this workshop. We will only be focusing on ONE 16/32 bar musical cut in this class. If possible, please have a second song to be used as backup. Sheet music should be three-hole punched and in a binder. Accompanist/musical director will be provided. Students cannot sing acapella or use recorded tracks for this class. Students can sing anything that brings them joy and that they feel comfortable singing!
We will take a thirty-minute lunch break. Students are expected to bring a lunch, a snack and water.
Class is limited to 16 students.
