Broadway Workshop Master Class Intensive is a four-day summer program geared toward students ages 13-20 who have a strong passion for the performing arts and are ready to take their performance and audition technique to the next level. Each day, students will work through musical theater or pop/rock material with a different Broadway star coach in small groups (divided by age). Every student will work with all guest master class teachers during this special program.
Our 2020 Master Class Intensive faculty includes: Tony Award Winner, Laura Benanti (My Fair Lady), Tony Award Winner, Karen Olivo (Moulin Rouge, Hamilton), Tony Award Nominee, Taylor Louderman (Mean Girls), and Tony Award Nominee, Denee Benton (Hamilton, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812).
Each day, students will begin with a short group meeting and then head off to their smaller group master class, where they will receive one-on-one coaching in a more personalized setting with the teacher of the day. In each day’s master class students will work on song interpretation, audition technique, and how to connect to their material. Students will need 2-3 songs to work on throughout the week and they should be ready to receive honest feedback from their coaches.
Students will have the opportunity to build on their musical theatre performance foundation while receiving feedback from Broadway’s biggest stars.
This is an advanced level program. Students should have past experience working in this type of setting and be ready for honest feedback.
This program is limited to 20 total students who will break into smaller groups of 10 during the program.
