We are thrilled to welcome back Broadway Star – Caissie Levy for another Master Class with us!
This workshop is SOLD OUT. Join the waiting list! If spaces becoming available you will be notified by email!
CAISSIE LEVY is currently starring as Elsa in Disney’s Frozen: The Musical. She was most recently seen as Fantine in the revival of Les Misérables. She also originated the roles of Molly in Ghost The Musical (Broadway, West End, cast album) and Sheila in the Tony® Award winning revival of Hair (Broadway, West End, cast album). Other Broadway credits include: Wicked (Elphaba), Hairspray (Penny). National Tours: Hairspray (Penny), Rent (Maureen). Off-Broadway: First Daughter Suite (Patti Davis/Julie Nixon), Murder Ballad (Sara). Her debut solo album, With You, is available on iTunes.
This workshop will begin with a short warm up lead by Broadway Workshop director – MARC TUMMINELLI. After the warm up, Ms. Levy will work with each student on audition technique and song interpretation in this special one day Master Class. We will focus on giving actors the opportunity to bring their audition and performance skills to the next level and how to better connect to their audition material. Students will break down their song material with one on one coaching in a class setting. Finally students will have the opportunity to be part of a Q&A with Caissie Levy and the Broadway Workshop team.
Caissie Levy’s past workshops with us have left parents and student raving and we could not be more excited to have her back in the studio!
Students will need 2 musical theatre audition songs in the correct key for this workshop. We will only be focusing on ONE 16/32 bar musical cut in this class. We ask that students have a second song to be used as back up. Music should be in a binder and clearly marked for our musical director. There is no dance component to this class. Students should avoid singing musical material from current Broadway musicals (Hamilton, Wicked, Frozen, Dear Evan Hansen etc.). SARAH STATLER will be the Musical director for this workshop.
