In this special workshop, Joy Suprano will focus on how to break down monologues.  Each student will receive feedback and coaching to help bring their performances to the next level. Joy will share her special insight on what students can do to stand out when performing monologues.

MONOLOGUES:

In order to participate in this workshop, all students will need to prepare one (1) contemporary monologue (2 minutes or under from a published play). The more memorized you are, the more you will be able to play and take direction during class. We recommend searching “contemporary plays/playwrights” on the Internet, or reading through actual published play scripts for material. It is better to avoid stand-alone monologue books because most pieces are overdone and lower-caliber material.

You must have a piece prepared for this class in order to participate.
