We are thrilled to welcome Broadway star and recording artist  SHOSHANA BEAN for her first Master Class with us!

THIS WORKSHOP IS SOLD OUT. Join the waiting list for updates on available spaces.

Shoshana Bean, has starred on Broadway as Elphaba in Wicked, in City Center’s Songs for a New World, and most recently as Jenna in Broadway’s Waitress.  She made her Broadway debut in  the original Broadway company of Hairspray.  As a recording artist she has has topped the iTunes R&B and Blues charts in the US and UK. Her fourth solo album, SPECTRUM, debuted as #1 on the Billboard Jazz charts. She has sold out solo concerts around the globe, lent her voice to countless films and television shows and has performed alongside Ariana Grande, David Foster, Postmodern Jukebox, Brian McKnight. Shoshana won an IRNE Award for her performance as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and earned a Jeff Award nomination for her portrayal of CeeCee Bloom in the pre-Broadway musical production of Beaches.

Miss Bean will work with each student on audition technique and song interpretation in this special one-day master class.  We will focus on giving actors the opportunity to bring their audition and performance skills to the next level and how to better connect to their audition material and add their own personal style to their performances.  Students will break down their song material with one on one coaching in a class setting.  Finally, students will take part in a Q&A with Miss Bean and the Broadway Workshop team.

Students will need two (2) musical theatre or Pop/Rock audition songs in the correct key for this workshop.  We will only be focusing on ONE 16/32 bar musical cut in this class. We ask that students have a second song to be used as back up.  Please do not sing from Broadway musicals currently running (Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Wicked, Waitress, etc.).  You should be totally comfortable with your song choice so we can allow you to work on the song in a new way.  Music should be in a binder and clearly marked for our accompanist. There is no dance component to this class.

THIS IS AN ADVANCED LEVEL CLASS. Students should be prepared for honest feedback and be ready to work in depth on their song selections. Students should have a high level of vocal training and have professional aspirations.

Class is limited to 16 students.
