We are thrilled to welcome TONY Nominee and star of Broadway’s hit musical Mean Girls – GREY HENSON to Broadway Workshop for his first one day workshop with us!

Students will begin this workshop by having a group warm-up, Then students will have the opportunity to sing a song of their choice for one of the stars of Mean Girls on Broadway, Tony Award Nominee GREY HENSON (Damian). Grey will lead students in exercises to help bring their song material and audition/performance skills to the next level.

In the final part of this workshop, BEN COOK from the Broadway company of Mean Girls will lead the students in a movement combination directly from Mean Girls on Broadway! Both Grey and Ben will be part of a Q&A where students will learn more about the process of creating and performing in Mean Girls on Broadway, as well their incredible careers!

Students will need sheet music for 1 or 2  musical theatre or pop/rock audition song in the correct key for this workshop. We will only be focusing on ONE 16/32 bar musical cut in this class. If possible please have a second song to be used as back up. Songs should be 3- hole punched and in a binder. Accompanist/Musical Director will be provided. Students can sing anything that brings them joy and that they feel comfortable singing! Students will not need a photo/resume for this class.

Grey Henson-  is currently starring on Broadway as Damian in Mean Girls, for which he received a 2018 TONY Award Nomination. Grey made his Broadway debut in The Book of Mormon as Elder McKinley, he also played the role of Elder McKinley in the first national tour of The Book of Mormon.  His television credits include; Suburgatory. Grey is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, his educational theater credits include: Assassins and Sweeney Todd.
