Amir Arison is back after a sold out On-Camera Workshop in the fall!!
We are thrilled to welcome casting director JESSICA KELLY for her first workshop with us! Ms. Kelly is a Casting Director at Chrystie Street Casting, where she is currently casting the hit NBC series The Blacklist and CBS’s Person of Interest. In addition she completed casting the films Demolition, Consumed and People, Places and Things. She has cast over 30 films and TV shows, most notably John Wick, Obvious Child, Labor Day, The Wolverine (starring Hugh Jackman), Believe (TV), The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Pan Am (TV), Mercy (TV), and Precious.
Students will begin this class working on camera with AMIR ARISON, Broadway Workshop’s newest TV/FILM teacher. Amir has appeared on shows such as Once Upon A Time, Law & Order: SVU, HBO’s Girls, and currently stars as Aram on NBC’s The Blacklist. Amir will focus on how to break down sides for film and TV auditions. Then students will work ON-CAMERA with Ms. Kelly. Students will have the opportunity to work on scenes and sides from her current and past projects including The Blacklist! Each student will receive feedback and coaching to help bring their performances to the next level. Amir & Jessica will share their special insight on what students can do to pop on camera.

Jessica Kelly is a casting director at Chrystie Street Casting in NYC. She is currently casting the TV series The Blacklist and Person of Interest. In addition she completed casting the films Demolition, Consumed and People, Places and Things. She has cast over 30 films and TV shows, most notably John Wick, Obvious Child, Labor Day, The Wolverine, Pan Am (TV), Believe (TV), The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Mercy (TV), and Precious.
Amir Arison stars as Aram Mojtabai on NBC’s hit series “The Blacklist.” Notable recurring roles in television include work on HBO’s “Girls,” the Emmy Award-winning “Homeland,” NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “Zero Hour,” “Dallas,” “True Justice,” and “State of Georgia,” as well as Julia Stiles’ hit web series “Blue.” Recent guest star appearances include “American Horror Story,” “NCIS,” “The Mentalist,” “Major Crimes,” “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” “Gossip Girl,” “Fringe” and “See Dad Run,” among others. Arison has also been a series regular on Bryan Singer’s acclaimed Digital Series “H+” for Warner Bros. Arison’s film credits include “A Merry Friggin’ Christmas” with Robin Williams, “Big Words,” “I Hate Valentine’s Day” with Nia Vardalos, Tom McCarthy’s “The Visitor,” “Today’s Special,” “Vamps” with Alicia Silverstone, and the upcoming “Jane Wants a Boyfriend.”Amir grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and attended Columbia University in New York City. He currently divides his time between New York and Los Angeles, where he also enjoys teaching and directing.
