About Pitch In:

PITCH IN is a one-act STEAM youth-musical written with gender inclusivity and flexible cast sizes in mind. When a small-town middle school loses funding for its extracurricular activities, the Principal asks the students to pitch ideas to save their school. Following the Science Club, a Robotics super villain, and the Show Choir, we see the students navigate stage fright, sabotage, and new friendships as they learn what it really means to work as a team. We are seeking two casts of 20 young students to complete our diverse and inclusive cast of actors.

If cast in Pitch In, students will spend the first four sessions rehearsing and learning their parts, in preparation for the final workshop presentation during the final session. Students will submit self-tapes of their singing pieces prior to the presentation so that they can be edited and streamed during the performance. Following the final session, students will receive a final edited video via Youtube to watch with friends and family.

Pitch In will be directed by Taylor Louderman, Hannah Kloepfer and Nat Zegree and produced by the Broadway Workshop Staff.

Auditions are now closed.

In order to be considered for a part in this program, all students must submit a preliminary audition video by Sunday, December 6th at 5:00pm Eastern Time. Students will need to fill out the audition form below and submit a video of themselves singing a musical theatre or pop/rock song of their choice (under 2 minutes), along to an instrumental music track. The video will need to be uploaded to either Youtube or Vimeo, or emailed to sarah@broadwayworkshop.com with the student’s name in the subject line.

Please email sarah@broadwayworkshop.com with any questions about auditions of the Pitch In rehearsal process.

** All applicants will be notified about casting decisions on Friday, December 11th. Upon notice of casting, students will need to officially register and pay for the spot in the program. This is an online workshop presentation of Pitch In: The Zoomical.
